Digital Built Week NA 2020

11 - 15 August, 2020, San Diego, United States

Digital Built Week North America (DBWNA) is a series of events brought to you annually by the Digital Built Environment Institute. It is the flagship event designed to cater to the needs of those who design, build, operate and maintain our built environment. The week includes the sub-events of BILT, BCS, Data Day, DTS and the DBEI Hackathon. These events focus on the use of BIM tools, BIM processes and workflows, as well as project and practice strategies and leadership skills.

The events are co-located at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront, and below is a description of the week of events.

  • The DBEI Hackathon kicks off on Tuesday, August 11.
  • Data Day and DTS follow on Wednesday, August 12 until Thursday, August 13.
  • BILT and BCS both begin on the Thursday, August 13. This day sees more events running concurrently, which means more sessions for you to choose from – BILT, BCS, DTS and Data Day.
  • Friday sees BILT and BCS sessions running concurrently, with BCS finishing their program on this day and BILT continuing into Saturday, August 15.

Who Should Attend?

For those who find simply USING the latest technology is not cutting edge enough, and want instead to CREATE that next technology. Innovators, entrepreneurs, and dreamers. BIM Managers, technology managers, scripters and coders, data scientists – all those who have a vision for the future, a desire to be involved, and the energy to handle a sprint!

Why DBEI Hackathon?

DBEI is focused on ‘Advancing People, Processes and Technology’. Conferences are one piece of that puzzle, focused on teaching. A hackathon encourages and fosters innovation at the front end of that process, focused on creating. It brings new ways to look at existing problems, new approaches to applying technology to improve existing processes, and a deeper look at the ways in which we can become more effective, more efficient, more productive.
